70 Churches in Southern Brazoria County Partner for Gulf Coast Adventure Weekend

Event includes cross denominational, multi-church and evangelistic outreach

Lake Jackson, Texas Feb. 3, 2012 – Full-time evangelist Jay Lowder, founder of Jay Lowder Harvest Ministries, will be partnering with 70 churches in Southern Brazoria County to host Gulf Coast Adventure Weekend which will feature an extreme youth event, outdoor expo and nights targeted to men and women individually.

Everything we do is to share the message of Christ with those who may never step foot in a church,” said Lowder. “We are excited to partner with so many different churches for the same cause- share the name of Christ.”

Adventure Weekends, designed with activities for the entire family, are a way to help strengthen the relationship between local churches and their surrounding communities, the weekend is planned to fit the needs of the community and every demographic, with Thursday night focused on youth and Friday night devoted to women.

Saturday will be geared toward families with a full-day Outdoor Expo which will be held at Brazosport College at the West Campus and Dow Academic Center. Activities such as car and motorcycle shows, fishing tanks, game booths, petting zoo, climbing wall, mechanical bull, archery shoot and a large showcase of outdoor sports products and services will be featured at the event. World-renowned hunting dog trainer, Hank Hough, of Kingdom Dog Ministries will also provide entertainment while teaching valuable life lessons with his AKC0 registered Labrador Retrievers. All children are qualified to register for a free lab puppy. The Outdoor Expo is fun and entertaining for every age and there is no charge for admission.

After the Expo, men are invited to a special “beast feast” meal followed by Lowder’s message about things he has learned while hunting and fishing and a special guest appearance from Bass Pro Fisherman, Jimmy Houston.

Jay Lowder Harvest Ministries partners with churches around the world to minister to youth and adults. In addition to mass one-day, four-day and city-wide crusades and festivals, Jay Lowder Harvest Ministries holds evangelism conferences, youth rallies, weekend retreats and student camps. An avid sportsman, Lowder also incorporates this love into Celebration Weekends, by using hunting and fishing stories to relate to men. He explains that sportsmen understand concepts such as targets, decoys and blood trails, because they are essential to the sport, but those are also terms that can help clearly explain the Gospel of Christ to men who may have never stepped foot in a church. The Celebration Weekend is a time to connect men with the church and with their families through a fun- filled weekend with something for everyone.Founded in 1989, Jay Lowder Harvest Ministries exists to reach people for Christ while inspiring others to do the same.
