Church and Ministry Insurer, Brotherhood Mutual, Celebrates 100 Years

FORT WAYNE, Ind., Aug. 25, 2017Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company, a leading national insurer of Christian ministries, will celebrate its 100-year anniversary on September 1.

Brotherhood700Brotherhood Mutual’s founders started the company as a mutual aid association to help members of their religious denomination recover when fires or storms destroyed their homes, farms and churches. When they began in 1917, they insured just eight churches.

Today, Brotherhood Mutual has grown to be one of the nation’s largest independent and exclusive insurers of Christian ministries. With more than 55,000 church and ministry customers, 450 employees, and 460 independent agents, nationwide, the company offers innovative coverages and specialized risk prevention services for the church and ministry marketplace.
