Families Invited to Attend Free Community Events in Effingham April 11-14

Effingham Adventure Weekend to feature
nationally known speaker and outdoorsman Jay Lowder

WHAT:    
The Effingham Adventure Weekend April 11-14 is open to the entire community and will feature events for the all ages, including an outdoor family expo and celebration rally. Individual student, women and men’s events will also be held throughout the weekend.

WHO:
More than 30 area churches have partnered together to host the Effingham Adventure Weekend along with Jay Lowder, an outdoors enthusiast and founder of Jay Lowder Harvest Ministries, which exists to bring hope to individuals while inspiring others to do the same. DETAILS:     
Thursday, April 11 at 5:45 p.m. – Xtreme Student Night at Effingham County High School for students 7th through 12th grade will feature music from the local band, Dayspring Reliance, and a message from Lowder.

Friday, April 12 at 7 p.m. – Women’s Banquet at Effingham County High School is a ticketed event and will feature nationally known speaker and singer LaDonna Gatlin.

Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Outdoor Family Expo at the Effingham County High School parking lot is a massive outdoor event for the entire family. It will include a variety of games, bounce houses, a climbing wall, car show, silent auction and vendor booths; world-renowned hunting dog trainer Hank Hough of Kingdom Dog Ministries will also teach valuable life lessons during a show with his AKC-registered Labrador Retrievers. There is no charge for admission.

Saturday, April 13 at 6:30 p.m. – Xtraordinary Sport’s Event at the Effingham County Maintenance Department Building is a ticketed event for men including special guests Hough, who will provide a Labrador training demonstration, and Lowder, who will share life lessons he has learned while hunting and fishing.

Sunday, April 14 at 6 p.m. – Celebration Rally at the Effingham County High School Football Stadium where musician Charles Billingsley will lead worship while Lowder brings a message of hope and faith to attendees. There is no charge for admission.
