SBC Pastor Dr. Johnny Hunt to Provide Answers for Pastors at upcoming Answers in Genesis Event

PETERSBURG, KY, March 31, 2016 – Former Southern Baptist Convention president and respected pastor Dr. Johnny Hunt will offer pastors practical ministry advice gleaned from 40 years in the pulpit and in pastoral experience at the upcoming Answers for Pastors conference to be held Oct. 11-13 at the Creation Museum near Cincinnati. Dr. Hunt will cover many real-world topics that aren’t routinely taught in most seminaries and Bible colleges today, helping prepare ministers for issues they might not even realize they could one day face.

answerspic1With topics ranging from “How Christians Should Respond to the Gender Confusion of Our Day” to “How Evolution Undermines the Gospel, Marriage, and the Sanctity of Life,” the sessions are sure to be informative and eye-opening.  Other conference speakers include Answers in Genesis president and co-founder Ken Ham, geologist Dr. Andrew Snelling and molecular geneticist Dr. Georgia Purdom.

Known as a “pastor’s pastor,” Dr. Hunt stated: “At Answers for Pastors, I will be dealing with the biblical essentials that can lead to a healthy and growing ministry. I will share out of 40 years of experience in a growing ministry and what I see as priority in leading a Christ honoring work.”answerspic2

Ham, who is also the visionary behind the soon-to-open Ark Encounter, has spoken to several thousands of pastors at hundreds of events over the years, and recognizes the value of having older, more experienced pastors share their hard-earned wisdom and knowledge with those who are coming behind. “I can’t think of a better choice than Dr. Johnny Hunt to give pastors practical advice on how to make their ministries more effective,” Ham said.

Local pastors of influential megachurches, Dr. Brad Bigney and Dr. Corey Abney will also speak, along with Rose Colón, Director of Women’s Counseling at Pure Life Ministries, who will lead a women’s track at the conference.

With the event held at the Creation Museum – 45-minutes from the nearby Ark Encounter, which will open in July – conference registration includes tickets to both attractions, with free time built into the schedule to allow attendees to enjoy these opportunities.

The conference runs Tuesday morning, Oct. 11, through Thursday evening, Oct. 13, so that pastors won’t have to miss a weekend away from their churches. Registration is $179, with an “early bird” rate of $134 for those who register by July 1. Lunch on Tuesday is included in the price, along with the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter tickets.  A 40% discount is offered off each additional registration from the same church, for either a spouse or additional church staff.
