‘LOUD KRAZY LOVE’ Releases New Trailer in Anticipation of December 14 SHOWTIME® Premiere

Award-Winning Coming-of-Age Story Chronicles Harrowing Journey of KoRn Founding Member Brian ‘Head’ Welch and His Daughter

DALLAS, Dec. 4, 2018 – A new trailer for LOUD KRAZY LOVE, the unconventional true-life story chronicling the chaotic and unexpected life of rock star and KoRn co-founder Brian “Head” Welch, released today prior to the film’s Dec. 14 premiere on SHOWTIME®.

Four years in the making, LOUD KRAZY LOVE is produced by I Am Second and Ditore Mayo Entertainment and subverts the standard sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll narrative, exploring Brian’s identity as a father and the complicated relationship he shares with his daughter Jennea.

“This movie is really special to me,” said Brian. “It’s not only my story with KoRn, it’s also Jennea’s story. It starts with her being born into the crazy world of rock ‘n’ roll and ends with a beautiful restoration.”

The sound Brian “Head” Welch helped pioneer with KoRn in the early ‘90s provided identity to a generation of misfits and made him a global rock star. Famous, wealthy and worshipped in the spotlight, an adolescent self-loathing relentlessly haunted him in the shadows – until the day a tiny miracle was born. By the time he walked out on a $23 million record deal in 2005, desperate to kick a devastating crystal meth habit, all he wanted was to become a good father.

The truly hard part had just begun.

LOUD KRAZY LOVE details the harrowing journey of Brian and his daughter Jennea growing up together with chaotic courage and unconventional faith. Far beyond a rock doc, this fearless coming-of-age story grapples with teenage depression, the quest for identity, and the hope of a father willing to do anything for the one he loves.

“Much like the true story it tells, LOUD KRAZY LOVE is a complex cocktail of mess and emotion. It is uncensored, unpredictable and intensely beautiful,” said Director Trey Hill. “The details shared of Brian & Jennea’s life are shocking, hilarious, frightening and even miraculous. It’s crazy honest, and that’s what makes it relatable.”

LOUD KRAZY LOVE includes exclusive access of Brian on tour and at home, in-depth interviews with him, his family and his bandmates, and two decades worth of never-before-seen material from Brian and KoRn.

Scott Mayo joins Hill, both of whom are first-time feature filmmakers, as a director of LOUD KRAZY LOVE. Samuel Ditore of Ditore Mayo Entertainment and John Humphrey of I Am Second Media produced the film.

Brian first partnered with I Am Second for the organization’s White Chair short film series 10 years ago when he shared his personal story of leaving KoRn. Of the more than 100 films to date on IAmSecond.com, Brian’s continues to be one of the most watched.

“We’ve known Brian for nearly a decade, but his White Chair film gives only a small slice of his story,” said Humphrey, vice president of I Am Second Media. “LOUD KRAZY LOVE delves deep into the full intricacies and remarkable trajectory of Brian’s life story. We hope audiences are inspired to emulate and embody Brian’s fearlessness portrayed so evidently in this film.”

LOUD KRAZY LOVE debuted in the Spring during the 2018 Nashville Film Festival and 2018 Dallas International Film Festival where it took home the Audience Award for Best Feature Documentary.

“This film is a labor of love four years in the making,” said Mayo, director. “When we set out to document Brian’s return to KoRn after his eight-year hiatus, we had no idea the end result would be this beautiful father-daughter narrative. LOUD KRAZY LOVE inspires hope that fearless love can heal a broken relationship.”

LOUD KRAZY LOVE will premiere on SHOWTIME Dec. 14. For additional information, visit www.LoudKrazyLove.com.
