Runyon will join host Nils Smith on the January 16 episode
DALLAS, DATE, 2018 – Nick Runyon, director of CV Outreach, an organization that helps churches connect with individuals far from God through Google Adwords and social media, will join Nils Smith as the co-host of the popular Social Media Church podcast on January 16, 2018. Reaching over 7,000 individuals a month, Social Media Church podcast exists to connect leaders with each other and discuss how social media is becoming the very fabric of the 21st century church.
“Social media is more than simply a tool for ministry. It is now an actual platform for ministry,” said Runyon. “I’m excited to join Nils in sharing insights and tips on how Christian leaders can utilize emerging technologies to reach lost people with the Gospel.”
Social Media Church was founded by DJ Chuang, a strategy consultant with 15 years’ experience in Christian leadership and social media strategy. The podcast has produced over 235 episodes covering topics such as vlogging, virtual reality and Amazon’s Echo.
“The world of social media and digital technology is always changing and can be daunting to pastors,” said Smith. “Our goal at Social Media Church podcast is to inspire Christian leaders with useful insights and orient them to new opportunities available through social media and other technologies.”
In 2018, Social Media Church podcast will welcome guests experts from Facebook and other popular platforms to share the “inside scoop” on best practices for reaching expanding audiences.
