Iran Alive Ministries Partners with WAHA to Provide Discipleship Resources in the Farsi Language

Secure App Allows Iranian Christians to Deepen Their Faith Together

MCKINNEY, Texas, Feb. 27, 2023 — Iran Alive Ministries has strategically partnered with Waha, an easy-to-use, group-centric mobile app designed to disciple seekers and mobilize believers. The platform enables anyone to facilitate Bible studies or disciple-making training without any formal preparation.

Available in multiple languages and highly encrypted for users living in security-conscious areas, Waha is the next tactic in Iran Alive’s mission to transform Iran into a Christian nation, one soul at a time.

“Currently, thousands of new believers are waiting to be discipled,” shared Dr. Hormoz Shariat, Founder and President of Iran Alive. “Due to an increased rate of conversion in recent years, we don't have enough trained pastors relative to the number of new believers. Waha is another vehicle through which God can reach the hearts of Iranians and build upon the remarkable revival happening in this region of the world.”

Waha groups are led through curated “Discovery Bible Studies” (DBS) which cover essentials like “Creation to Christ” and “Making a Decision about Jesus.” The Waha app gives facilitators and group members access to the full Bible, as well as a recommended list of stories and DBS questions, all in one streamlined interface.

“Praise God for this incredible resource which will serve to accelerate the dissemination of God’s Word and the deepening of faith among new Iranian believers,” added Dr. Shariat. “With precious souls on the line, it’s critical that we employ every useful tool that we can to effectively share God's word.”

After unlocking the content, believers can form a disciple-making community, where they can learn and grow their faith together.
