“Listening to people respond to the overturning of Roe since the leak, which has not been publicly exposed, has illustrated an exposure to irrational fear of people not wanting to be able to live their lives sexually without consequence. By arguing that it deprives a person of choice, they are ignoring the reality of the choices that we still have regardless of whether states allow for women to continue having abortions or not. The reality is that all of us have a choice. We can choose to have sex or we can choose to not have sex. We can choose to keep the child or not keep the child.
Now, some may argue that as a man I cannot weigh in on this issue, but they forget that it was nine men on the Supreme Court that decided Roe. They may argue that the Supreme Court shouldn’t have a say in the right to an abortion, but they fail to mention that this was not a “right” under our constitution until it was made up from the Supreme Court.
The underlying root behind each pro-abortion argument is rooted in a pro “sex without consequences” argument. In talking with many people on this subject and the subject of Christianity, people have been brainwashed by our culture and ease of pornography that sex is a source of their freedom or a source of their identity. Accordingly, by removing their option to kill a child so they can continue to have sex without consequence limits what they see is a freedom issue that must be fought for.
Sex is not a source of your freedom. The only thing that can set you free is knowing the truth and the truth is abiding in the Word of Jesus. John 8:31-32 - That is our true source of freedom. ”
